Organic - in 21 x 30 cm Passepartout Series by Ebba Jahn

Organic
14 x 20 cm in 21 x 30 cm
Watercolor on 300 g paper
Ebba Jahn, 2016

"Organic" is part of my present daily practice of creating a contemporary abstract work for this
"in 21 x 30 cm Mount" series.

The earthy tones, a bright yellow and orange, layers and texture as well as the interesting overall shape of this watercolor painting makes it a god fit for this series.

The mount / passepartout has a natural white color (acid-free) with a very light structue, and an angled clean cut of . It fits into a standard frame for Din A 4 / 21 x 30 cm / ca. 8.5" x 12".
I'll add a hanger which can be attached to the back of the mount for immediate hanging.

Free Shipping Worldwide.

Post 100: Thank you - Day 15 I Ebba Jahn

This is blog post 100 - time to thank you all for visiting this blog!

Lots of thanks to Leslie Saeta for her marvelous initiative "30 paintings in 30 days", a challenge for painting and sharing a work every day during January 2015.
I decided to go with my workflow, meaning, I'm also finishing some artworks from last year and finally photograph and publish them, besides painting new ones.

Here comes my last Day 15 with a good bye to the Leslie Saeta Followers.

Day 15

Day 13 of the 30 day painting challenge comes on a watercolored paper postcard, matted in a natural white folding passepartout, which shows the original colors better than the close-up photo. The genre might be "abstract", but it sorted itself into the genre "landscape" at the Daily Paintworks Gallery  -
I like that.    Available through auction or mail to EJ

Watercolor on Paper
... in Passepartout  12" x 9.5" / 30 cm x 24 cm
Ebba Jahn 2015
Day 8 of the challenge. Today I like the raw look of the weaving on the left, but it can also be certainly framed, even closer than on the right side, and the underground could be changed as well. After trying different undergrounds I finally stay with the darkblue for now.
Available through Auction or mail to Ebba.

30 Paintings in 30 Days - Day 7

Day 7 - Watercolor on Paper
15.5" x 19.5" / 30 cm x 40 cm
Ebba Jahn, 2015
In natural light photographed the structured off-white 300 g/m paper appears with a lighter and a darker side. The details can be seen quite well, although the original color vibrates less dark. This is a print made with only orange and blue on a pane of glass; the outcome is a unique original - if it withstands the test of time it won't get cut.
Available through auction or email to Ebba

About the Weaving Series:

The Woven Paintings are made in different formats with selfpainted watercolor - and gouache color compositions on strong paper, then cut into lines / strings. Some stem from discarded works - destructed, recycled and reconstructed so to speak - others are especially painted for this ongoing weaving project, which I started in this form in August 2013. I feel, I have expanded paper weaving I made as a girl into an original art endevour of my own. The work combines handmade craft with fine art elements of free line, color and form. The results are unique, original, colorscapes with a rich texture and rhythm, leaving room for association, memories and surprise for every viewer, I hope.

Behind these windows in Berlin, Germany they are created:
